I am a clueless dude who stumbled into trading and investment because I was becoming a dad and I didn't want to leave my kid with nothing when I die. Along the way, I made money gambling on dog money, lost all the money earned. Then I lost some more money to cover the losess of family who traded based on my advise. I started learning technical analysis in order to trade more profitably and promptly went on to lose some more money. Somewhere along the line I started making profitable trades and I realised what I was getting wrong all the time previously. But that is a story for a seperate time.

Grace

It's now 6.28 am and I'm writing in my video office.

The mahjong game had just ended.

I feel really sorry for poor Weiting, who tried to get some sleep while the rest of us played mahjong right beside her bed..

I lost 18 bucks last night on the table.

This year, I almost lost everytime I gambled. And I think I know why.

Gambling has really lost it's appeal to me. Nowadays, I rather think of it as a socialising activity, one with a stake, though.

I think these days, I know where I want to make my fortune, and it's definitely not on a mahjong table.

The most important thing, is to have fun and to win/lose gracefully.

P.S. Not going to put up names here, but I really don't like people who talk about money all the time. People who "gamble" because they want to win money! Big turn off.
